Our Care Philosophy

PACE Framework - The Foundation of Our Care

Our approach to care is guided by PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) and Positive Behaviour Support, encouraging positive choices and building trusting relationships:

Playfulness

We use humour and lightness to build connections and reduce tension in challenging moments.

Acceptance

We accept children unconditionally and validate their feelings, even when we need to set boundaries on behaviour.

Curiosity

We explore the reasons behind behaviour with genuine interest, seeking to understand rather than judge.

Empathy

We demonstrate understanding and compassion for what children are experiencing and feeling.

Trauma-Informed Practice

We recognise that many children have experienced trauma. Our staff are trained in trauma-informed approaches that create safety, build trust, and promote healing through consistent, compassionate care.
